Much of the work undertaken by our volunteers at Broadway has been funded by Grants made by or Appeals run by the Trust.
More recently the Volunteer Team responsible for the construction of Broadway Station were keen to complete all building work on Platform1.
The Trust were able to help fund the restoration of the footbridge steps and an extension of the Station Canopy on Platform 1 so that it covered the stairs to the Footbridge thus replicating the original Station design.
Much of the steel Fabrication was completed in house by our Steam Dept. Workshop.
In October 2022 the Trust Board approved a Grant to the GWSR Plc to enable part of Platform 2 to be fully surfaced as part of a wider project that will in the fullness of time see the station complete.
