When the current locomotive shed was built with David’s legacy there was insufficient funds available to include a concrete floor.
More recently a further legacy has enabled the Trust to sponsor a new floor including pits providing a cleaner safer workplace for our volunteers.
We have also funded the overhaul of 4 hydraulic jacks which are capable of lifting our steam and diesel locomotives when required.
