Other information

The department usually has a training session at least once a month covering first aid, use of fire extinguishers and emergency management.  This is to enhance and maintain their first aid skill levels.

All members of the department are expected to attend the one-day EFAW course

Most members of the department are also involved with other railway departments such as RCS, Commercial Department and the station groups.

Anyone can join First Response Department as appropriate training will be given but members with first aid skills are particularly needed.
